SOLAR JUNCTION BOX  /  NP SERIES

The connection your modules can't afford to get wrong.

NEWAGE PV designs and manufactures 1500V-rated solar junction boxes built for 25 years on a rooftop or in a field — split-body construction, Schottky diodes, and a potting seal that keeps water out at IP68.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Built to move less, lose less, last longer.

Every design decision in the NP Series comes back to one question: what happens to this box after five years on a roof in Rajkot, Rajasthan, or Riyadh.

The NP Series adopts a split-body design, which keeps power output high across a wider range of mounting environments than a single-cavity box can manage. A low temperature coefficient limits how much heat affects power delivery, and the horizontal outlet mode reduces wire bending stress at the gland — which also means less cable used per installation.

Internally, the circuit path is kept short and direct to minimize resistive loss, while the diode housings are rated for high overcurrent so the box performs safely with both conventional and high-efficiency modules.

WHY NEWAGE PV

What you're actually buying.

Not just a spec sheet — a supply relationship built for installers and module manufacturers who can't afford a field failure.

01

13-point inspection

Every finished batch is checked against a 13-point inspection before it leaves the line, not sampled at random.

02

Pan-India supply, on schedule

Competitive pricing backed by reliable logistics across India, so your installation timeline isn't hostage to a single shipment.

03

IP68, IEC 61215 compliant

Rated for one hour at one metre submersion and built to the standard that governs module reliability, not just the box in isolation.

04

Fast technical response

Samples, custom requirements, and technical questions get answered by engineers — not a ticket queue.

COMPATIBILITY

Works with the connectors you already spec.

The NP Series pairs with the standard connector families used across current PV installations — no proprietary lock-in.

INSTALLATION

Six steps to a bond that holds.

Most warranty claims trace back to installation, not the box. Follow this sequence and the seal will outlast the module.

Clean the bonding surface. Wipe the junction box base and module back-sheet with a clean, alcohol-soaked soft cloth. The bonding area must be dry and free of oil or dirt.

Apply sealant evenly. Run silicone sealant around the junction box base edge groove before pressing it onto the back-sheet, letting it overflow evenly around the perimeter.

Let it cure. Allow at least 5 hours in circulating air before closing the cover. The cover should click into place and not lift when pulled by hand.

Never bridge positive and negative. Connecting the positive and negative leads of the same junction box together will short-circuit and damage the module.

Limit connect/disconnect cycles. Frequent connecting and disconnecting outside of maintenance reduces waterproof sealing performance and service life.

Keep it away from solvents. Petrol, cleaning lubricants, and electronic contact cleaners degrade the housing — keep the box and connectors clear of them.

UNDER THE COVER

What "1500V, IP68" actually means.

Two views into the NP Series: how the bypass circuit protects a string, and how the seal keeps water out for the life of the module.

Three-diode bypass circuit

If one substring is shaded or damaged, its Schottky diode routes current around it instead of through it — protecting the module from hot-spot heating and keeping the rest of the string producing.

Sealed cross-section

Potting sealant surrounds the diode assembly completely before the cover clicks shut, so there's no air gap for moisture to track through — the basis of the IP68 rating.

Powering
tomorrow.

Every junction box we build today is a bet on twenty-five years from now — on a roof that's still standing, a seal that never let water in, and a string that never dropped below the diode that protected it.
